We are an AMA chartered radio control club located
in Omaha, Nebraska and currently have a low cut,
well maintained grass flying field in Mead, NE. approximately 20 minutes west
of Omaha. The
field is in a rural setting with no wires,
trees, or obstacles.
Started in 1967 by a small group of Radio Control
airplane enthusiast working at the old Western
Electric Plant in Omaha, hence the name, Western
R/C Flyers.
The
club currently has approximately 75 members
ranging in age from 12 to 80. A
club dedicated to fun, not politics.
Our club maintains a very relaxed atmosphere
with the idea of "fun" kept in mind at
every club event! We
hold many fun flying events throughout the
flying season. See our event calendar for full
details! Spectators,
Visitors and AMA licensed pilots are always
welcome at every event or meeting.
We provide many benefits including free training
to Western R/C Flyer Members!
Come
check us out!
Thanks for visiting!!!
